There isn't a level on the base like there is with the base you get with the carseat, but it's still easy to level. Snap the carseat into the base, on the side of the carseat there is a red line to be used for leveling. You can eyeball it, or use an actual level (the kind with the bubble in the tube) to make sure the red line is completely horizontal when snapped into the base. There is one base thats kind of rounded that the 30 does NOT fit in.
