Thanks everyone, all really good points!!

@Torchwood: That is a good perspective! I guess I was thinking that the level 2 might be stressful b/c they can see so much, but you are right. I don't want to get all stressed out about a vague finding on the level 1 that turns out to be just fine! Hoping for no findings at all, but if something vague were to be found, it would be nice to get it resolved that day with already having the level 2!

I would absolutely keep the MFM. If they find anything on the regular scan, the first thing they'll do is send you in for a level 2 with the MFM. So you're saving yourself an extra trip if there's anything. Also saving yourself the worry that can come with a vaguely off finding on the regular that turns out to be nothing on the level 2. Because of our history, they had us go to MFM for the anatomy scan this time, and I'm so glad they did.

I would keep the MFM appointment. The difference in quality and information they could get from the level 2 would be worth it to me.

I would keep MFM and cancel OB. It will be more precise.

They found something on my anatomy scan at the OB and sent me for a level 2 scan at the hospital in the city. I also had to meet with a geneticist at that appointment too. So in my experience the anatomy scan at the OB wasn't a level 2. They were able to get a better grasp on the issue after the level 2, so I would get that one if you have to pick.
Sending good thoughts! :goodluck:

I have one anatomy scan scheduled at my regular OB and one scheduled at MFM (long story). I need to cancel one of them. I asked my OB which one I should cancel, and she said it didn't matter (as of now, there are no specific concerns). I think she said the one at MFM will be done on a better machine and it is level 2. And one at OB will be done on regular machine.

I googled a little but am still a little confused. I guess I thought all anatomy scans were level 2... Does anyone have experience with this? If it is really just my pick, should I go with getting the level 2?
