DS is on one nap a day for about 2-3 hours. Usually it's 2 hrs at daycare and almost 3 hours on the weekends. I don't know how much milk he drinks but I'm guessing it's about 10-16 oz depending on the day.

@Periwinkle: Like I wrote to @tinyperson, I admire you for still nursing! You do what works for you and your baby. I knew breastmilk was the best for my baby, but I hated breast feeding. When my milk supply started to decrease, I took supplemental pills and drank tea, but I had to end it around 4 months because there just wasn't enough. I felt guilty to feed formula, but I was so relieved! I was happier so I was a better mom and wife.

@BunnyDragon: I still nurse am and pm so I nurse him when he wakes up. Most likely, that is part of the problem of his continued wakeups, but I still do it. Grrrrr

@tinyperson: I admire you for still nursing! Breast feeding was probably the hardest thing I had to do as a mom. I hated it and I was secretly so relieved when the milk dried up around 4 months.

we're still on 2 naps, about 10-1130 and 3-430. i usually wake her from her first nap or else the second one will be pushed back making it harder for her to fall asleep at night. maybe you could try waking him up early from the first to see if he sleeps better for the second?

i actually read mrs.yoyo's post about this which i thought was really helpful: http://www.hellobee.com/2012/06/05/dropping-to-one-nap-when-is-it-time/

my daughter always sleeps at least 1.5+ hrs per nap so i know shes not ready to drop to one. on daycare days she does only take one nap tho (3x a week) which is prob why she's so tired the other days.

she drinks probably around 12oz of milk a day. she drinks a cup per meal and the rest of the day is water.

Technically a October 2012 baby but only by a few days. She is on one nap from 1-3pm and has been since around 13 months. Drinks probably 5-10 oz of whole milk a day. pedi said the max she should have is 12-16oz. She doesn't like milk that much I guess.

Hi there! LO is almost 17 months old and has a pretty inconsistent nap schedule. On days when he is with his caregiver, he tends to take one nap from about 10:30-11:30 and then sometimes another nap (about 45 minutes) in the afternoon. At home, he is a much better sleeper and will often do one 2-hour nap or two 1-hour naps, depending on the day. We are right on the cusp, I think (!), of dropping that second nap and taking a longer midday nap.

Unfortunately, he is not a great sleeper and we still do between 1 and 3 nighttime wakeups most nights.

Nov '12 mama here. My LO dropped to 1 nap around 12/13 months. She started fighting the afternoon nap like crazy, so we got her down to 1 nap and now it is from 12:30pm -2:30/3pm. She goes to bed around 7:30/8 and wakes up around 7/7:30. I'm not sure about how many ounces of milk, but she gets WCM 3/x a day. Once in the morning, another after lunch, and then again before bed. It's probably around 15-20 oz total?

LO takes one nap mid day. Usually 2-3 hours long.

She drinks about 20 oz of milk a day with meals and snacks

Well, my LO is technically December (Dec 5), but is pretty close. She started daycare in January, and since February has been on one nap that starts between 11:30 and 12:30 and she sleeps 2-3 hours (mainly because that's how daycare does it).

As for whole milk, we're still nursing morning and night, and she won't drink much milk or water during the day (maybe 5oz total, at best), but she gets a lot of cheese and yogurt, so she gets her dairy that way.

What's your LO's nap schedule look like? How many ounces of milk? My LO takes a nap between 10am-12pm and 2:30-4:00pm although he has been resisting the afternoon naps. I'm wondering if it's time to drop to one nap (nooooooo!). He drinks between 12-18 ounce of whole milks per day.
