If she likes to run wild, go for the aisle! I flew solo w/ DD a few months ago and all she wanted to do was run up and down the aisle. There was no way she would have sat still enough for the window.

I would pay extra for a window and I hate paying extra for anything. The extra space, being able to block him off from surrounding people, and the distraction of looking out the window (and pulling the shade up and down repeatedly) is worth it's weight in gold... literally when we are talking airline prices ;)

100% window. There's something to look at to distract LO, but beyond that you have a direction to lay her down in your arms if she will try to sleep. I got moved to aisle seat with E once and I was trying to lay him in my arms, but it wasn't working. Either his head was in the lap of the person next to us, or out in the aisle where he would be in the direct path of anyone coming down the aisle. I ended up with a very cranky baby that flight.

Some airlines will only let you install a carseat in the window seat, if that's relevant.

I vote window also because you can have an arm rest for sure. But now I see there aren't any window seats available. I'd keep checking back because seats open up all the time or check with the counter at check in to see if they can give you a window seat at that time.

Window! She can look out and in the off chance she does pass out in your arms, you will have something to lean on.

Window! I flew with my then 17 month old last summer for 4 long flights and the window was key to keep him calm during takeoff and landings.

Oh man, that's a toughie. I always default to window because there is a lot to see and the LOs like to lean on the wall and stuff. Plus, it keeps little arms and legs away from the carts. But it's a pain for diaper changes!!

Aisle or window?

On the return it's naptime so hoping she will sleep so will go for window for that one. But on the way there it won't be naptime so should I go aisle or window?

Only 1.5hr flight.

eta: ugh on the way back there are no window left except in extra leg room which means $20 more. And the only aisle left is all the way in the back. I think I'm going with the only one of two rows left that has a aisle plus middle left hoping no one takes the middle and or someone is nice enough to swap with me?
