I never had any problems. You might also be able to get a sharps container from your hotel front desk, so you don't have to bring one (but I'd call just in case that's not usual where you're going). I was prepared to answer questions if TSA had any. I got through security without any questions. </p> <p>Oh, it was a short work trip so all I had was a carry-on and laptop bag. I put it in a little lunch bag with a freezer pack and I told them about it before I went through security.
