I haven't sleep trained so I don't know if there are "rules", but my LO has fallen asleep like that and I will go in and ease her into laying down. As long as I shush her while I move her, she stayed asleep

Ehh I would probably leave her if she's asleep...if she's uncomfortble she'll wake up!

DD fell asleep standing up both nights of sleep training and we went in and laid her down. She went right back to sleep, but the sleep training seemed to work.

I know I must sound like the dumbest person ever for asking this, but, I'm doing the Sleep Lady Shuffle with my 14-month-old and finally, after an hour and a half, she is asleep. She's sat leaning forward though and I really don't like it. If I lay her down she'll probably wake up but I think that's safest, right? What do you do? It's a method where you stay in the room with them the whole time so I'm just watching her sleep and wondering whether to risk the wake up!!!
