Hopefully she sleeps! I would have done what you did... let her sleep in the seat until the last possible minute, then transferred her.

We let her sleep an extra hour or so, then I just moved her to the pnp and she woke up- but she prob would have woken up soon anyway. Eating and hopefully she goes right back to sleep. Dh put the pnp with it on the low/ bottom setting so putting her in gently may be difficult! Will set it up with the bassinet in the morning.

Definitely transfer her. Carseats are not good for her spine if she is in there very long.

I would leave her. Airways are compromised or they aren't - if she's breathing well now, and isn't at risk of overheating, I'd go for it.

It was only an hour and a half car ride, fwiw. She's in the room sleeping right now in the seat but I may switch when we go to bed...

I would transfer. The airway can be compromised after an extended period in that position.

@Foodnerd81: I think it's probably fine as long as you keep an eye on her - LO has slept long stretches in a car seat (mostly on planes). She may wake up earlier than usual anyway if she's uncomfortable in the carseat.

@MamaMoose: hmm I was afraid of that.

@brady80: if she wakes up when we take her out I'll definitely feed her and nurse back to sleep. She's so peaceful right now!

I would transfer her. The angle of the car seat can constrict her airway after a prolonged period.

Just got to dh's grandmothers for thanksgiving, and Lo (4 months) is sleeping in her car seat. Dh is setting up the pnp while I wait with her in the car. If she sleeps through the transfer, can we leave her to sleep in the seat? With the straps tight?

She usually wakes up around 1 am anyway and it's 9:30 now. We will be sleeping in the same room as her. Wwyd?
