@PinkElephant: @lady grey: @regberadaisy: Ok, thank you! I think I am just being paranoid because it's for someone else! I added the date they were made to the labels, so hopefully they will just freeze if they aren't eating the stuff right away.

@Greentea: Thanks! Nice to have an "expert" opinion too from your husband.

DH says they are okay 5-7 days long as they were kept in air tight containers and refrigerated properly at 41degrees or lower. (He works in food safety.)

Totally fine. Honestly I'd eat either of those things up to a week after cooking since I assume the Chilli will get heated to boiling and the quiche either microwaved or warmed in the oven anyway.

If it were summer is be more cautious, but I'm more relaxed about keeping food in winter months

I think they would be fine without freezing

Totally fine! I would just let them know when they were made so they know when to eat by.

I made a couple things this weekend for a friend that recently had a baby - last night I made some quiche and turkey chili, today I made banana bread, zucchini bread, and a casserole. I meant to drop it off tonight, but we got freezing rain and I didn't make it over.

Should I freeze the quiche and turkey chili - or will they still be okay tomorrow?

I'm assuming the breads and casserole will be okay since they were made today?
