@hilsy85: I do not change his diaper normally, because that would wake him. However, there have been a few times when I knew I had to change it and was afraid neither of us would get back to sleep. I have latched him on, and had my hubby change the diaper right in my laugh while I nursed :)

@hilsy85: I never tried the dreamfeed because i was too scared to wake up my LO but I wouldn't change him. The whole idea behind it is to not wake and feed them while they're asleep. :)

I would let him sleep. But that's only because it takes forever for my LO to sleep after being woken up.

Thanks ladies! I ended up letting him sleep, and he woke up at around 11: 30, so he slept like 5 hours...then he gave me 3 hour spurts until this morning. I think next time I'll try the dream feed! I always want to try to get us on some sort of a schedule so that I know when he falls asleep in the evening, it's his "bedtime" and he's in pjs, bathed, etc.

I totally agree with @junebugmama the dream feed is the way to go. Keep LO calm. No PJ's totally drive me nuts too but trust me, not waking the baby up is more important that night time fashion! ;)

I'd wake him, change him, feed him and put him back down. Id probably feel conflicted about it too but that's my gut answer!

I always feed LO before I go to sleep so I get the longest stretch. It's called a dream feed. I would do that, but don't worry about the pj's. You want to keep him almost sleeping.

how old is he again? LMW did something crazy last week-- she went down for her last nap at 4:45pm and didn't wake up again until 4:15am for her night feeding...!!! (that's late even for a normal night when she goes down for bedtime at the normal 6:30pm time!) I was a nervous wreck the entire time and I totally wish I had just gone to bed at like 9 oclock!!

I'd let him sleep and I'd go to bed now as well! If you do wake him for a change and feed, your chances of him going right back down for a long sleep are probably not that high - not saying impossible, but it never seems to work out that way in my experience! I'd just let him sleep!

@chopsuey119: Thanks :) I know you're never supposed to wake a sleeping baby, but I want his longest sleep stretch to be when I'm sleeping too!

LO last ate at around 5:45-6:00. He fell asleep at 6:30 and has been out since then. It's now 9:45...do I wake him up to feed him and change him, in the hopes that he then goes 4-5 hours from now?? Or should I let him sleep and let him wake himself up when he's hungry? I"m just afraid that if I let him sleep longer, he's going to be up all night! Also, he's still in his outfit from earlier today and it's bothering me that he's not in his pjs, lol.
