If you think he'll still STTN (or sleep until his first, usual MOTN wake up), I'd say, go for it. Whenever DD falls asleep in the evening a few hours before bedtime, I usually allow her a little zapper before I wake her up. For me, falling asleep an hour or two earlier usually means she's ready to party at midnight, so I try to avoid it. When she goes to bed at 9, she sleeps until 7 or 8:00. But every baby is different!

B has been cranky for about an hour and just fell asleep on my boob. He usually doesn't go down for the night until 8:30 or 9. Should I start his routine and put him to bed now? Is that too big of a jump? DH wants me to move the bedtime earlier in smaller increments but I feel like he is ready for bed right now.
