I put a sheet under it (a king size sheet...) and most of the rice stayed in the tub/on the sheet. So then when she was done, I would just pick up the sheet and dump it outside or into the bin. Can you set it somewhere that the floor can get dirty and set chalk or crayons on it with paper to draw on? </p> <p>I love sensory bins, too. You could make slime, a rice or bean bin, an indoor water table. </p> <p>My daughter loves slime. She plays with it for 20 minutes or more sometimes. I put little Toob animals in it and she uses tongs to remove them from the slime. She will call me over to "hide" them again and she does it all over again. I think the recipe I used called for a cup of water plus 1 teaspoon of borax - mix together. Then one cup of water plus one bottle of elmers glue - mix together. Combine both and mix until too stringy to stir. Use your hands to mix until consistency of slime. </p> <p>I got this book for Christmas and it has some fantastic ideas in it. I am too wiped by 9pm to do it then haha! </p>
