My MIL did all the research for it and liked it compared to other options. </p> <p>He can reach the pedals, but still has room to grow into it (for reference since C &amp; E are the same size.) The tag says 18m-3 years. He's 20 months now, and figuring out pedaling and steering. You can make it so the trike is either parent controlled or child controlled. I think it's great, if they are supervised. You turn your head away and do something else, it definitely topples over to the side. Our LO is almost 30 months and tall for her age and has almost outgrown it though she doesn't really know how to peddle yet. I guess we also didn't take it out til then because that's when it was warmer out in NY. I liked the trike, but wish I had gotten the one with a push handle instead. However, because it's very light weight, she would try to turn a corner and topple over. I think it's best for the younger toddler for that reason.
