We got one that's similar to the Ikea walker. I'm glad we didn't shell out more money for it because LO never used it. I usually buy everything online, but we went out specially to buy this when LO started cruising. She never took to it. She just toddled along without it.

Even now that she's running around, she doesn't use it. We moved the handles to the incline position (since she's older) hoping she'll use it as a cart for her toys, but all she does is sit in it and only sometimes. It does store her Uncle Goose blocks perfectly though.

I'm saving the big purchase for her first bike.

We have the radio flyer one and love it. When we first got it DD couldn't walk so we just pulled her around with her stuffed animals and she loved it. Once she began practice walking this was the only walker that wouldn't suddenly start going too fast for her. Now that she's a walker she likes to push her stuffed animals around in it and climbs into it just for fun. Plus it's built very well so I know #2 will also be able to enjoy it as well. We got it off amazon from $79 as well.

I don't have any real experience yet because LOs not here yet, but I've seen the Ikea one in the store and own the Radio Flyer one. The Radio Flyer is definitely better quality, but I'm not sure it's really worth $100. Maybe someone whose child is actually using it can weigh in on that part! But we got ours used - I happened to see it when we were dropping off donations, and got it for like $7. It was missing some parts and I was able to order those for like $20 from Radio Flyer. So for about $30 we have one in pretty good condition, with the exception of a small mark on the paint.

If you decide you want the Radio Flyer one, I'd see if you can find one used at a consignment store or Craigslist.

@T.H.O.U.: have you tried adding weight, like filling it with books, to make it more sturdy?

We have the ikea one and it's really cheap. It doesn't have any weight to it and would not be good for an early walker. If you pull at all down on the handle, the whole thing flips up

can you tell me about these two walkers. which one do you have and what you like/don't like about them? I've narrowed it down to these two as i want a wooden wagon walker for LO. But there is a vast difference in price. Is the radio flyer worth the extra $100? (as i typed "100", i thought "eek, probably not!").

The radio flyer extra features are essentially the resistant wheels and furniture bumper. Are they necessary? I read a tip that you can add resistance by adding weight to the wagon, like with books.

thoughts? is there something else i should consider that i am am not thinking of?

I couldn't find that many reviews on the Ekorre so i'm hoping some bees can chime in on how amazing it is and save me some $$!
