I would have to send DH to the guest room too if I ever wanted to co-sleep. One of our kitties sleeps tucked in my arm right between my DH and I every night, and last night DH rolled over, almost completely onto the kitty! I felt him on my arm first and then I pushed him and woke him up saying he almost squished our cat! Alright just had to say that! But then LO caught a nasty cold and it was the only way any of us could get even a little shut-eye. But my DD hates it! She's constantly squirmy and fidgeting and moving around. She sleeps a lot better in her crib. Sigh... The only times that we did fall asleep with him was when he was only 1 week old, his dad held him and they napped together in bed. It was always horrible until he got older (like 3 years old) and would sleep through anything! I have NEVER co-slept with LMW! This is probably why I have never ever fallen asleep in bed when my lo is in bed with me. Something keeps me awake. Only once did I fall asleep on the couch with her on my belly when she was teeny tiny and not moving yet. When I pull her into bed with me, I always just snuggle with her for a while, then walk her back to her room. I wish I could just fall asleep with her in bed with me, it would make life so much easier at 3/4am!!!!
