Yes! I love it. Some guy who was smoking outside at the mall actually ran to open the door for me.

Yes! I work at a big university, and students usually walk around in their own little worlds. But once the belly got REALLY big, I was surprised and thrilled to find that most of them (male and female) went out of their ways to help out. On the other hand, when I flew in my third trimester, no one was kind at all, even when I was visibly struggling with luggage. I guess the kids are alright!

A lot of people were extra kind and thoughtful, but some were super rude. I had men push past me for subway seats and I it made me ill to witness. You really rely on the kindness of strangers while pregnant.

It was great! Put a smile on my face when strangers went out of their way to open doors or let me go ahead of them in the bathroom. I now try to do the same for other pregnant women.

One time someone let me get in front of them in the line at Target because I was holding a basket, and several people let me go before them for public restrooms, that was the best! Now that I have a baby and she's really little (looks very new, when she is actually 3.5 months) people are even nicer than they were when I was pregnant!

Not really but once someone let me use the bathroom ahead of them. I was so glad! Then I was in tj's and this girl didn't and I felt mad. Haha!

@Glitter: I know that the folks at Publix (it was a Publix grocery store) will always offer take your groceries to your car, but I had insisted that I didn't need help because I was trying to stay as active as possible! The two gentlemen who helped me seemed to appear out of nowhere (I hadn't seen them in the store previously).

If people noticed I was pregnant (it was winter and I wore a big jacket most of the time), they were really nice about holding doors open, offering to carry bags, etc.

@MsLipGloss: wow that's really nice of them! Makes me wonder if they were trained to do so or if they both were just showing genuine kindness. Either way I would be totally blown away with treatment like that

When I was almost 38 weeks pregnant (it was just a few days before I was induced), I was grocery shopping. By the time I was ready to leave the store, it was pouring down rain. As I pushed my cart toward my car, two employees came running out in the rain to help me load my groceries in the car. They insisted that I sit down (in the driver's seat) and just let them take care of it. It was so unexpected and awesome that I called the store manager when I got home to tell him about his amazing employees.

Have strangers been extra kind to you since you've been pregnant? I have been getting awesome treatment from people I never met!

I just came from the bank and while walking towards the glass exit door I noticed a man leaning on it peering outside with his back toward me. As I was within reach of the handle he turned, noticed me, my belly, apologised THREE times and grabbed the handle to open for me. So sweet! I need to make good use of this belly for the next 4 mnths
