Trying not to stress. :) Thanks!

@chopsuey119: poor baby. it sounds like you are doing everything right. i know that temperature sounds scary but don't stress. if tylenol doesn't work i have found that baby motrin works better.

Thanks everyone! Fever went up to 102.4, but has dropped! I put a cool cloth on her head and neck, shared a coconut milk ice cream bar with her and gave her a lukewarm bath. Just put her down for the night. (Decided to hold off on the meds).
I still don't know what caused the fever, but just happy she's not feverish anymore!
@Mrs. Bee: She didn't have any other symptoms. I gave her avocado today so it might have been that? Dunno. @BoogieBea: Oh. That's good to know.. thanks!

My friends 9 mth old woke up from her nap with a 101.9 fever on saturday. Her on call doctor called in an antibiotic rx for her, but when they went to the dr on monday, the baby checked out totally fine as far as other symptoms, sher still only had the high fever. My friend just continued to give her tylenol to keep the fever down. The baby finally felt better yesterday. Poor thing. The dr said it was probably a virus of some sort. Totally random though.

My doctor said teething doesn't cause fevers also. But I don't know. I'm sure it's different for every kid. Also, sometimes the symptoms or cause of the fever won't show until a day or two later.

does she have any other symptoms? if not, i wouldn't worry too much. teething never bothered charlie that much, but every baby is different.

give her some tylenol after you talk to your ped.

my son had a low grade temp when his teething was really bad. most peds (including the hubs) will say teething doesn't cause temperatures, but...i think there was a connection for my LO! i think we gave him some baby tylenol or advil and his temp was normal the next day. hope baby feels better soon!

I noticed that my LO felt hot so took her temperature. Rectal temp is 101.7.
Called her pediatrician and am waiting for a call back.

It's so random .. could teething be causing this?
Feeling a little stressed!

Has this happened to any of you?
