@Chillybear: Thanks for answering. I know this question probably sounds dumb but I've never used a hot tub and they always seemed so icky to me although they look like they'd be nice to use.

i imagine it would be kept clean esp if thats a selling feature of the property. if its mineral spring water it may not be chemicalized so it wouldnt have an odor (like salt water pools instead of chlorine pools.)

@Chillybear: LO would be asleep when we used it and we aren't TTC yet so I think the heat would be fine. I guess if we rent that house, we'll look and see if we think it looks clean (and smells I suppose).

my parent have a hot tub and its kept heavily chlorinated (you can smell it when you take the lid off) I go in theirs often esp if i'm sore from working out. Its not recommended for pregnancy (or men if your ttc), elderly, or young children. However i do remember playing in it when i was like 3-4 they may have just turned the heat down

So we're still looking in to where to go for our anniversary. We weren't finding much in the way of a coastal town so now we're thinking of renting a cabin in the mountains and relaxing with LO for the weekend. I found one with gorgeous views and it has restaurants nearby so we can go out to eat one day. It has a hot tub and it says it's filled with mineral spring water (or something like that). Is there a difference between that and regular hot tub water? Hot tubs that aren't mine (not that I've ever had one) weird me out in general. Are they cleaner than I'm thinking they are? I know this is a random question but when I tried to look it up, all I found were places trying to sell me a hot tub.
