Baths tend to bring out rashes and redness on my son's skin since he is so sensitive. Rashes are hard since so many things can contribute to a rash. I wouldn't worry too much, unless your child also has a temp, but go to the pediatrician if it will give you peace of mind!

@MrsSRS: That's kind of what I'm thinking. It usually appears during his bath (hot and humid in the bathroom) and then yesterday afternoon it was after his nap, and he woke up really sweaty. It's just kind of weird that this is the first time we're seeing it, since it's been like 90+ degrees the past few weeks!

Could it be 'prickly heat'? Just a harmless temporary heat rash?

We had that for awhile. I think it was from a new brand of scented diapers...even thigh the rash wasn't really in his diaper area. Ours was off and on for maybe a month, but never a fever or any I thing.

The past 3 days, D (2.5yo) has been randomly breaking out in a rash. It's usually all over his back, butt, and thighs, plus a little on his belly and upper arms. It's just little red bumps. Barely raised. No pattern at all. We noticed it Thursday night at bathtime, but the next morning it was gone. He had it again last night, but then it was gone. And I just noticed it again this afternoon.

He isn't complaining about being itchy. He doesn't have a fever or any other symptom. He often gets a rash when he's getting over a virus, but he has not any symptoms of being sick at all.

If it keeps happening, I'm going to call the pediatrician on Monday, but just thought I'd ask if anyone else had ever experienced something like this?
