I'm a Pats fan, being from Boston. A "friend" of mine texted me while we were watching the superbowl (delayed, on DVR since we had to put RJ to bed) to say "sorry!" so of course the rest of the game was ruined. I didn't even know he was a Giants fan-- we had never discussed football before, ever. Whatever.</p> <p>Now he won't stop bugging me about it. I'm already over the loss (being from Boston, sports heartbreaks aren't new to me) but he keeps asking me what "the scene" is like over here... I'm like, uh, it's fine... I mentioned there were some arrests at umass amherst and he was like "whoa, crazy, you guys are serious business"... and I was like "...drunk college kids with a reason to be angry, that shouldn't be too surprising... plus it's 2 hours away from here." </p> <p>Just had to rant. BLECH. Really, nothing more annoying than people trying to get a rise out of you. We used to debate back and forth a lot because he's always done this, but I feel like since I've become a parent, it's just NOT worth my energy, time, or effort. I have more important things to think about!!! I think he's mad because I won't debate with him anymore, because I was pretty good at going back and forth with him, and he really pushed my buttons for the fun of the debate. Too bad for him... I'm a mom now, my energies are sapped elsewhere. </p>
