I have to wait until January... at least. :(</p> <p>It's out of the RE's hand. Basically it's up to Health Canada to decide when I start getting treatment (and you can't really argue with Health Canada). If I am not immune to Rubella now (which I will find out in 3 weeks) I need to get 2 more booster shots before Canada Health will MAYBE allow the RE to treat me. Until that or a proven immunity there is nothing they can do. So with clinic closings the earliest I can start Provera is the end of December.</p> <p>Everyone keeps telling me that it's just one more month, be patient, you're 26, blah blah blah. I wanted to have kids 2 years ago. DH wanted to wait, so we waited a year. Now it's nearly been another year and I may have to wait months still. I am. SO tired. Of waiting. I wish I at least had cycles on my own, I could at least then TRY in the meantime... How awful. When I was diagnosed with PCOS, my doctor also messed up on the diagnosis - they told me in November that everything was fine, sent me for bloodwork, and it wasn't until I demanded more answers in May that she was like "Oh, yeah, your hormone levels are whacked - didn't I tell you?"</p> <p>I'm so sorry about all of this. It seems crazy that they won't even prescribe Provera (which is NOT really treatment to get you pregnant) if you aren't yet officially immune to Rubella. </p> <p>I know it's no consolation at all, but think about the small positive of not being stressed about treatments and timing over the holidays (I'll be taking a break as well... on BCP in preparation for IVF and this is the only silver lining for me). My blood work and AMH all confirm what the ultrasound shows... so the new RE has crossed checked everything which is great.
