My sister has a baby 3 weeks before I had A and her son reacted with a small rash to Carrots as well. I would watch for repeated rashes with any new foods.

Try not wiping his face with any water during his meal. Instead, use something like Aquanil to clean his face. My oldest had eczema all over his body and face (from dairy and soy protein allergies as an infant) and that was the only cleanser that didn't irritate his face after meals. Highly recommended by his allergist. He could possibly have an allergy if it's persistent. I would talk to his ped to see what they say.

No advice but my LO got a rash from two of the four foods we've introduced.

We started out with the Weston A. Price type diet. She's had avocado, bone marrow, carrots, & egg yolk. She got a rash after eating avocado (the second time) and egg yolk. She got some rash after carrots too but it was nothing compared to the others. We're sticking to the foods in Gerber stage 1 now (+ the meat we introduced). We're doing a mix of purees and BLW. Although LO got sick about two weeks ago and hasn't taken any solids since.

We recently started solids with our 6 month old and he has broken out in a rash on his face and chest after having peaches and carrots. He has MSPI so I was prepared for the possibility of other food allergies but it's frustrating! Does anyone have any experience with reactions to those foods? What are some other good foods to introduce? We're doing BLW and we've already done banana and avocado.
