@Corduroy: it's dry, itchy and raised. He hasn't eaten anything new recently. He's refused to nurse since last Tuesday and only takes cold bottles... Not sure if that has anything to do with it

@Mrs. Twine: there was a confirmed case of thrush at daycare so I told all three doctors and neither thought it was that. The urgent care doc thought it was yeast but er doc said no.

The picture looks just like my LO yesterday after she tried egg yolk for the first time. Her rash wasn't textured and went away quickly. Sounds like your LO's is dry and itchy?

I'm not positive. Looks like it could be yeast, but it also looks similar to excema as well. Do you notice anything in particular seeming to make it worse/better? Does it seem to itch him? Poor little guy! I hope he starts feeling lots better in a hurry. @Mrs. Jacks might have more constructive answers since she is a pediatrician.

Anyone's LOs have a similar rash before? DS has been to his ped, then urgent care on Friday who sent us to the ER to get checked because she couldn't diagnose the rash. The ER dr said it was just chapped skin but did say he has a bacterial infection on the skin under his nose, conjunctivitis in both eyes and a cold to boot. I'm not comfortable with the "chapped skin" diagnosis because it gets worse and then starts going away then gets worse again. He is on eye drops and clindamycin (antibiotic). Poor guy is so itchy.
