I was just reading about what I should put on my daughter's dry thumb (from thumb sucking) and I read that lanolin is great for that and for raw noses.

@winniebee: I use aquaphor on everything. We gave it to our radiation patients to use on their skin, I figure if it can heal those burns it can handle anything.

thanks! my mom is with him today and she put aquaphor on him. I guess I'll tell daycare to use it tomorrow if it's still raw.

always something!

When the nose gets raw I usually use Vaseline or honest company makes a good balm. Something that is not perfumed or have anything that would not irritate. Maybe even some
Neosporin if it's really bad, but can't remember if you can use that so young.

Wow sorry about that. My 6.5month old baby has had congestion and runny nose many times but never gotten a raw nose yet. I like the vaseline idea. I also have cerave lotion which is good for dry skin so I might rub in a teeny bit of that on there too

When Lo has a runny nose I'll use the nose frieda and my hand and water to wipe it. Found that it makes the nose less raw.

Do you have some baby lotion you can apply to the rawness? Or maybe aquaphor would be good.

My son has had a cold pretty much for 3 weeks striaght (one on top of the other). We use the nosefrieda snotsucker which is great, but his nose keeps running and he wakes up with snot encrusted all over his nose. I usually clean it (over great objection from my son!) with a warm washcloth....then during the day with boogie wipes. However, now his nose is very raw : ( Any suggestions? Vaseline? Aquaphor? He's 5.5 months.
