Boogies wipes help a lot to keep it from getting raw. Maybe put Auquaphor on it?

DS' nose has been running like a faucet the past few days thanks to an ear infection and head cold. His little nose and upper lip are so red and sore that he hides his face and screams if you come anywhere near him with a wipe or tissue. Any suggestions to make him feel better and heal the area?
