So they ran tests to make sure there was no infection. We had to wait for the results. </p> <p>With DS2, he had jaundice and had too wait for his bilirubin levels to begin to go down. </p> <p>The second time around I learned that insurance pays the same amount whether I was there 2 days or 4 days. It was 2 day stay.</p> <p>With DD I stayed 4 - the nurse told me to relax and enjoy it because once I was home there would be no rest! My husband had three weeks off work, and his first week was "wasted" with me in the hospital. </p> <p>If I had had Charlotte on a Friday, then yes, I would have stayed the entire time. </p> <p>But as it was, I came home on a Thursday. I had a horrible hospital stay, to be honest, and was itching to go home. </p> <p>I had better sleep/rest at home than I did at the hospital! The only advantage I can see is the extra day of "free" meds. She used staples the first time (which were removed just before I went home).
