I have to say this recovery feels harder than the 1st. I'm not sure if it actually is or just feels that way since I have a toddler now. </p> <p>Week 1 was very hard and has been steadily improving. But I still can't lift DS and my energy level is not totally back yet, especially with the lack of sleep from a newborn.</p> <p>My mom is here with me when DH is at work. We have a newborn and a 35lb 2.5 yr old. The fact that I cannot pick him up for 6 to 8 weeks is tough to manage. DS1 is still in a crib, so I have to have some one here for nap and bedtime. DH took a week off and goes back to work Monday. DH works long hours, so starting Monday I have hired help. I think it will be tough to have the hired hands put him to bed. Plus, I don't have round the clock help, so there will be times when he throws a fit about having to come inside when I normally have to pick him up to force him. How was toddler care for you? It's the only element if recovery which makes me wish I had a vaginal delivery to recover from!! </p>
