I love the tradition of picking it out, and decorating it. DH always had a fake tree, and they don't decorate it each year. They just put a tarp over it with all the ornaments still on it, and put it in the basement so they don't have to re-decorate each year :shocked: . DH got his first real tree with me, and he is sold! Until I was about 10 we had real trees every year and it was always annoying with the shedding needles and our dog getting into them. When I was 10 my parents decided not to get a tree that year because the Christmas tree farm we got them at normally had closed, everywhere else was really expensive, and they had decided to get a fake tree but wanted to wait until the after Christmas sales.
