This happened with some of my kids Mary Meyer stuffed monster toys.....not necessarily that expensive, but more unique toys that were gifted to us. I made the mistake of letting the kids take theirs to target and of course they ended up on the floor....and being soft, I didn't notice right away....scoured the store forever....then luckily found it at the customer service desk! </p> <p>But my take home lesson from all of it? The kids only get to take hard/plastic toys when we go out. We noticed she lost her pacifier one day after a walk and DH went out looking for it. It wasn't too far though.</p> <p>A couple of weeks ago we went to Ikea and when we got home, we noticed she was missing her Lamaze Mortimer the Moose. We went back and looked for it and I called lost and found.
