I didn't think that I have coverage, but doing this search has me wondering. My guess is that the website is wrong, but I'll check tomorrow. I won't count on it until I see for sure..

@NorthStar: If you have insurance coverage for menopur, you lucky girl, then just go through your insurance! WinFertility is for people who don't have insurance. You have to actually sign something saying you do not have insurance coverage. I didn't have insurance for menopur. I needed several BOXES of it and paid over $2,000 for it.

ok - it's so confusing! I'm checking my insurance pharmacy coverage and it's saying that I should only have to pay $287 for 10 vials of menopur, where at freedom, that would be $679 (after rebate). I might have to go down to Walgreens and see if they run my insurance if that is truly the menopur pricing. I feel so confused about what I should try to run through insurance and not...thanks

update - and it says that each 900IU Follistim pen would be $317.53. jeez, I hope this is right. these prices would put me $1,800 cheaper than Winfertility.

@NorthStar: It was a Follistim 50% off rebate. Not income based or anything. For menopur, I did not have a rebate. Angel from Winfertility just told me that they do not offer the best price. Menopur was my most expensive medicine. =(

@agold: What menopur rebate are you referring to? I am curious since I have been prescribed 10 vials, so any savings that I can get would be nice. I swear it takes a rocket scientist to figure out the best deal! :silly:

WinFertility was actually easy to work with and I really loved the agent I spoke with above all other fertilty pharamacy personnel I dealt with. It was because of the menopur and follistim rebate for these specific reasons that I did not end up with WinFertility:

WinFertility told me that they do NOT offer the lowest pricing for Menopur. Menopur was my biggest cost so this was a huge factor for me.

WinFertilty also confirmed that the price I was getting for Follistim with the 50% rebate WAS LOWER than the itemized price that WinFertility would be providing. Although I was not told WinFertility's specific itemized price, I do know that the ultimate price I paid for Follistim as $279.60 a box/vial/whatever. So its safe to assume that Winfertity offers Follistim for something over $280 each.

@Amorini: What you said totally matches up with my experience. I needed the 50% rebate to beat WinFertility. And the rebate I got wasn't income based. Gees I hate those income based rebates. You need to basically be living in poverty to qualify for any significant rebate. Which is a bummer.

Win won't give you itemized receipts, so I can't get the rebate. While they can be difficult to deal with, $153 for two ovidrels and a cheap medication thrown in is good enough to deal with their crap.

Just my 2 cents. I qualified for a few different deals (rebates and upfront discounts), but none of them provided the overall bargain-basement price as WinFertility's bundle. I also had the Follistim coupon ($300 off three cartridges) and asked my four competing "bidders." Some took it and some didn't, as you say agold. Win said they didn't worked with rebates, coupons or programs because they were overall cheaper. Basically, my math said that if any rebate/coupon/discount would have given me more than 35% off Follistim or Gonal-F (price was similar at the actual pharmacies), then I would have gone with that pharmacy. Otherwise Win was cheaper. In the end, I only qualified for 25% off for the two income-based discount programs I applied to. Win will still cheaper so that determined my choice!

A little off-topic from the original dilemma, but just thought I'd share my experience with Win compared to what other pharmacies said about discounts, etc.

I wasn't aware of any rebates when I bought my meds. Did WinFertility tell you of this rebate?

I do know that WinFertility does do bundled pricing and can't itemize each medication. I'll need to check to see what they showed on my receipts.

@AmeliaBedilia: Did you ever get the rebate sorted out? I just mailed in my rebate and I'm hoping it works out for me! Because of your post, I asked winfertility about the follistim rebate and was told that no rebates would apply. It was because of the rebate specifically that I went with a different pharmacy.

I bought my two ovidrel injections from winfertility. I submitted the rebate with all the appropriate info. Today I received an email saying they couldn't send me the check because I didn't send the receipt. I called them, they told me the same thing, then checked and said it didn't say ovidrel. I insisted that it did, then finally said they couldn't do it because winfertility gives bundled prices. I'm really frustrated, because I told them from the get go that I was doing the rebate and they said it wouldn't be a problem, and everything related to IF ISO much harder than it needs to be. Any suggestions?
