I had a storybook-themed shower that was adorable. You could also do a particular book (stars/moon decor with Goodnight Moon, The Very Hungry Caterpillar; I once went to a Where the Wild Things Are shower for a little boy). If they like to travel, I've seen a "welcome to the world" theme that was done well.
