@Glitter: we had a rolled up towel under our regular graco seat, but it was to make sure it was at the regular proper recline, to adjust for a more sloped back seat. I don't know that it would recline the seat further than normal and still be at the proper recline for safety.

There is a way to make sure that you have the seat installed at the proper angle, it involves using a piece of paper folded into a triange to "measure."

I can't find an image right now, but I will check again later.

@Foodnerd81: Hmm.. I didn't think to ask her about it. I thought it was normal because the seat is pretty upright and our car is too small to maneuver it much.

@Mrs. Lion: actually that reminds me that I once heard of rolling a towel and positioning it underneath. I'll look into that and the pool noodle and see if we find a cheap fix, thanks!

@Glitter: there may be a way to safely prop a regular seat by putting a pool noodle under the base so that it reclines back a bit further. (I havent ever needed to do this but i think i have seen other people do it?) Im not sure if they all have this, but our infant seat had a bubble indicator that showed whether it was in the safe incline range. Maybe you could tilt it back a bit without having to have a seat that reclines further. Or, since lo is already 3 months, just switch to a convertable early? That way you arent buying two more seats.

@Glitter: ah I see. Have you asked the ped about it? I guess in your case it might make sense then. Will it fit in your car?

@loveisstrange: thanks! I'll check them out

@Weagle: yeh the recline button is on the base.

@Foodnerd81: DS has major head issues when he falls asleep in the carseat. He's 3 months and I still can't leave him alone in the back because his head falls in the most awkward positions!

@Glitter: hmm never saw that before. It sort of makes sense, but I wonder how heavy the seat is. I'd rather get a cheaper lighter seat then splurge on the convertible. (We have the chicco Nextfit too and also like the easy recline rf).

@Glitter: I think that's a feature of that particular seat... I've never seen that seat or any other seat that reclines that much. The base is made for it to recline that way, but it's not adjustable? Unless I'm missing something?

We used a chicco keyfit and liked it!

I don't think infant seats recline any more than what you get with a proper installation. You'd typically get less of a recline with a convertible.

That being said, our Britax B-Safe seemed to have a pretty good recline. Moreso than some of our friends' seats.
