If so, it's the best value for your dollar, in my opinion. Gas guzzler or not. I did some research into used Outbacks and Prius' and they're pretty pricey vehicles. We like it so far! It's comparable to the size of a compact SUV. The third row seat is so helpful and everything fits nicely inside of the car, but the car isn't so huge that it's hard to park and it's easy to drive. I average 30ish in the summer and 26ish in the winter (hilly and snowy). The AWD is fantastic and they are very safe cars. My friend can fit two car seats in the back for her babies, 16ish months apart. There's space for someone in the middle... it's tight, but do-able. Her car seats are pretty narrow, from what I recall.
