@PurpleUnicorn: Oooo good find! I may have to nab one myself.

Regarding a PNP mattress, when we go to my parents' house LO sleeps in one with a cotton pad and thick quilted sheet on the regular PNP pad. Seems to be enough cushion for him that way.

@Mrs. Yoyo: thanks! oh and i liked your idea of getting a pnp mattress to put in. I am going to check that out too and decide between the two :)

I just found this on amazon:

http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B000O7SR8Q/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB

reviews say it fits the baby bjorn really well. So if i decide to go for it, i might get this sheet since it is $7 versus the $50 bjorn sheet.

@PurpleUnicorn: I know, the added cost is annoying since it is already pricey. Re: bugs, I've never used it outside but I would think it would block them!

@Mrs. Yoyo: hmmm, that is annoying, because the sheets add a signifcant cost i find :( But thanks for the tip on using a regular sheet. I'll try that first if i decide to go for it.

Another question about the Bjorn - does the mesh sides block bugs/mosquitoes from going through? The current play yard we have seems like it does not, so that would be more incentive to buy it. (I am planning to go check it out in person later today, but wanted to know some personal experience with this).

@PurpleUnicorn: it is separate. We have one but I've also used a standard crib sheet shoved tightly under the pad without issue.

i am looking into buying the baby bjorn - does it come with a fitted sheet for the mattress or do I have to buy that separate?

We have the baby bjorn crib and love it...It is expensive and I was able to find it on CL in basically new condition for $150, but I also saw them on Ebay going (gently used) for $150. Even at $150, I was like, "Is this worth so much more money than a pack and play?" And the answer is yes. It is. My LO has been sleeping in it since mid-june while we're in a summer rental waiting to move into our house on Aug 19th. We sleep trained her in the Baby Bjorn and everything, and she sleeps 12 hours a night in it plus naps. The mattress seems like it's pretty comfortable:)

@Mrs. Bee: just looked at the lotus crib...way cool, love how it's a backpack carry on! Thanks for sharing, we've been looking for something like this! The baby bjorn looks cool too but I thinking like the portability of this better...

We also have the Bjorn. Didn't get it until LO was about 22 months though and he was already a good sleeper, so no problems there. It is by far the easiest one to assemble and break down. It also travels really well. Ours has been to Asia and a few places in Europe.

the new lotus crib looks cool. we have the gocrib by the same company and absolutely love it. it seems so comfy and it fits in your carry-on. it's my fave for traveling.

we also have the breeze and it really is awesome, but it is pretty heavy for travel (at least as heavy if not heavier than the pack n play).

the baby bjorn crib is also really nice, but you have to check it in on a plane.

Another Bjorn lover here. Kinda $$ but worth it if you travel a lot.

Another idea, if you haven't already checked into it -- there are some PNP mattresses and pads (other than what's standard) that might make your LO more comfy!

I love the Baby Bjorn travel crib. It's so lightweight and the mattress is more comfortable. I wouldn't mind sleeping in it if they made an adult version.

I have a graco travel pack n play, but L sleeps horribly in it. I am sure there must be a better option but don't know where to start. What does your LO sleep in when you travel?
