I bought Graco my rides for both of our parents and they've worked well. They take them out sometimes and my husband re-installs them very easily. My in laws are complaining that it's too small now that he's 2 but I think it's a huge seat- they just don't like that his legs are scrunched up.

@fancyfunction: @jhd: @juli7: Rare and reassuring to get a unanimous answer about anything related to babies! Looks like a really good option and $100 bucks is great.

My parents have the Graco My Ride 65 too. They take it in and out of their car fairly often and always do a good job re-installing it. I don't like it as much as my clicktight, but it made sense to buy a more affordable seat since they only use it once a week.

I would also suggest the Graco. It has been easy to install for us.

My parents havE the same one as my husband - the Graco My Ride 65. It's easy to install (my parents sometimes switch off cars so switch the seat in and out). It's also easy to buckle up.

My mom watches LO at least one day a week and asked me to recommend a car seat for her car. In the past she has just borrowed our car, but she would prefer to drive her own car now that he is older and there are more places she wants to take him.

Ideally it should be:
- easy to install (she is convinced she will be taking it in and out often - though I have no idea why)
- not too heavy (though can carry 27lb DS around so she's no weakling)
- not too expensive (I'd like to buy it for her and would rather not spend $300)

Also must be convertible - DS is 17 months and we plan to rear face quite a while longer.

FWIW we currently have a Britax Marathon (old kind with latch/seatbelt install) and Britax Boulevard Clicktight.
