The Gracos recommended above are probably your best bet for something long-lasting and budget friendly, from what I've seen!

Graco size4me 70. It had one of the highest RF limit for my tall torso kid and it is reasonably priced. It was recommended on car seats 4 littles

We have a Graco MyRide 65. It's pretty wide, but it fits really well in our Nissan Versa. I really liked the Gracos, they have long-lasting RF height limits (esp. Because H is so short) and they aren't super expensive.

Love our graco 4ever. We were deciding between that and the diono radian. We will probably go with a Cosco scenera or a cheaper graco for our extra seat. Dd is rarely in anyone's car but mine and for now we just use her infant seat since she is nowhere near maxing it out in either height not weight.

I wish I had looked at more before getting the 2 we did. WE have a Britax Blvd (free) and a Max Cosi Pria. I really like both but LO is going to outgrow the RF limits soon since her height is all in her torso :(

So now that I have looked into more I think for affordability and good Rf limits I would have gone with a Graco. If money didnt matter I would do Foonf.

Below I linked a really good place where they can recommend the best seat while still being affordable to fit your LO the longest.

We have the next fit and like it fine- not super love, but it's fine and more importantly, it fits in our medium sedan rear facing, which most of the seats with higher rear facing limits did not. So that made the decision pretty easy for us.

My big criteria were: had to fit in our car (duh); high RF height and weight limits, since I want to RF as long as we can, but C is pretty small so I wasn't overly concerned; seat belt lock off, because we don't have latch in our car.

You can use the BBB 20% coupons on chicco, which helps with the price. I figured since it was something we would be using day in and day out for the next 3 years or more, I wanted to just get the seat that worked best for us even if it was a little more expensive- but we also only had to buy one.

@Danizaur: The Evenflo Sureride was consistently recommended on the Car Seats for the Littles Facebook page for good value--not super expensive and has great RF limits. So that's why we got it. Super easy to tighten and losen the straps (WAY easier than our much more expensive Maxi Cosi Pria!). Wish we'd just gotten 2 of these.

It's time to retire the infant seat! I don't know where to start when looking for a convertible car seat. What do you have?

I need to find a good balance of quality and value. We can't shell out big bucks, but I don't want to get stuck with a dinky one either. I know the Chicco next fit is a good brand...but it's a little high for us.

We'll actually be getting two...one for my car (large sedan) and one for our SUV.
