I liked it because it's BIG, I love VB quality and design, lots of pockets, easy to access due to shape being long and not deep, and it has the option to be a backpack and messenger style. OH and the interior is wipeable. That's awesome :) I honestly used this same bag with just one kid and the only time it hasn't seemed like enough space for two is when I am doing a full day outing with both kids, because I have to carry bottles and formula too. I have a makeup bag in one of the pockets with bandaids and stuff for me, then I use one pocket for 2 diapers for each kid, one pocket for wipes and a wet bag for the cloth diapers, and one pocket for extra clothes (a set for each kid). Then the bottles stuff in between the pockets. I keep my wallet in one of the outside pockets and my phone and keys in the other. It is the perfect size. I was wondering how I will continue to do so with 2 LOs. I don't even have a diaper bag with #1. I just use the Skip Hop changing station. It has an extra set of clothes, 3 diapers plus wipes, nail clippers, tissues, etc. in it. It's still super compact and light. I love it. It won't be able to hold two sets of clothes though. But your idea of the a shoe box is brilliant! I think I will do this to keep it light. Clothes and extra diapers in box, and keep 2 diapers each in the changing pad. I can use the side pockets for sippy/water bottles and I use a JuJuBe Be Quick pouch inside for diapers and wipes. There is a zippered back and that's where I stick my JL Childress changing pad. I keep snacks in another little pouch. FYI I'm a pretty light packer.
