@crazydoglady: I was at BRU today and saw the Chicco BravoFor2 and thought of your post. It looks awesome, except for the fact that the seat doesn't recline. https://www.chiccousa.com/gear/strollers/double-multi-child/bravofor2-2-passenger-standingsitting-quick-fold-stroller---champagne/07079780400070.html

We bought a Chariot double bike trailer that has stroller wheels or a jogging attachment. LO is be 4 when this kid shows up but we live in a city and walk/bike everywhere. I’m not a big fan of the riding boards - I feel like I never see anyone actually use them and they seem unwieldy. If we’d had a closer age gap I would have gone with a Phil and Ted’s since they fit infant seats and seem like a good single option.

I love our city mini GT double. My kids are two years apart, and we started using it when my youngest was a couple weeks old, reclining the seat fully and using a summer infant pillow with a headrest. (We got a car seat adapter secondhand, but it was very unwieldy so we never used it.) We are still happily using it at almost 2 and 4. It's so easy to fold, fits through doorways, and is easy to push. I was debating the city select, but now that the kids are older, I'm glad they are side by side. I also considered a double bob, but I store the stroller in my car, so size was a consideration.

@crazydoglady: I love it, for a standard stroller stroller wheels on pavement. But if you like to off road, it's not so good. It turns very easily!

I have a City Select and I like it a lot. But it's kind of a beast with both seats. However it's really nice that it can be a single or a double.

We used a City Mini last year at Disney for a day and I really liked it and would recommend it. It was surprisingly agile for a side by side and easy to fold, unlike my City Select, which is really unwieldy to fold.

I was also interested in the Mountain Buggy Duet, which is double side by side but it's supposed to be the same width as most single strollers. But it's pretty expensive and I couldn't find any place locally that sold them.

@MrsADS: yes, she still fits! And loves it! The ultralight has a bigger sunshade, and a zip sunshade as well, and they give good coverage. And she can see well at the zoo so she doesn't complain about being in the back (the carseat rides in front). I think she is close to 37" right now, and no complaints!

@mrs. microscope does P still fit in the Joovy extra seat? I am debating between a sit and stand (possibly with an extra add-on seat like the Joovy) or a bigger side by side double. I am wondering if the add-on seat will be big enough for M - he'll be 2y8m but he's super tall. Is there any sun canopy for the back seat of the Joovy? That's my other concern. Like right now the stroller I use for him most of the time is our big jogging stroller.

I feel like *right now* I want a stroller with an actual seat for big brother because he often lays back/chills in the stroller and I don't really see him having the maturity to sit on a bench or stand on a ride along board. BUT maybe a year from now, that would be different?! I don't know what to doooo. Realistically I want a big side by side double for the zoo, walks to the park, etc. and a small sit and stand for other outings, the airport, etc. but doubles are so freaking expensive and huge, I just don't know if I want to spend the $$$ and not get much use out of them.

I have a double BOB and I love it. I never used an infant seat with it because mine is a 2010 model, but having a double is so nice for going places like the zoo and walking around town. The stroller is a beast but it works for us. I also use it to run with the kids when my DH is out of town.

I am really on the fence with what to do regarding a double stroller. My son will be 2 1/2 when the baby is born. That is going into winter for us here and not much walking. I do walk a ton in the spring/summer though. I also wore my son a ton. I think I am going to hold out until spring time and see where we are out. Love looking at all these options. I really wish I would have gotten the city select from the beginning now, but oh well...

I was gifted a babytrend sit & stand. It's been great! We're not big stroller users, so I never used it with infant carseat. I always just wore DD2. But I like that DD1 can sit/stand since she is such a big girl and doesn't want to sit in a seat and be like a baby lol. And both seats ca be configured to face whichever way.

It is so lightweight, easily fits in my trunk, and easy to maneuver. We plan to take it off and have her use the rear facing bench and the ride along board on our vacation next month.

I love my city select. You can use it as a single or double. You can snap a wide range of infant car seats in it. You can get a riding board attachement for it. It’s fairly light and easy to maneuver. The seats can be configured in several ways. The only downside is I have to take the seats off the frame to fold it.

My two are 2.5y apart and we like to walk a lot. We had a Britax B-Agile with LO1 and tried a few cheapie double strollers before keeping a used double BOB. We’re still using it most weekends and LO1 turns 5 next week. The kids’ combined weight is about 75lbs and we live in a hilly area. The BOB still handles well. I can’t vouch for the car seat adapter because we didn’t start using it until 10 months or so.

We had also used it to hold the car seat when he was an infant and daughter was still able to sit/stand. I also bought the optional 2nd seat that can also be facing front bUT havent put it to good use yet.

Do you think you could get by with a sit and stand? We have a graco one that takes a car seat and I think others do also. They’re a lot cheaper if you’re not on rough terrain a lot, but don’t maneuver as well as an expensive double. I always found it just fine for places like the zoo etc, we used it a ton because my oldest liked to sit.

Following... my 1st will be 2y8m when baby 2 arrives and I have no idea what to do about a double (or if I even need one). We don't use the stroller a ton with the 2yo but do use it 1-2x/wk for walking to the park, walking around the neighborhood, or if we go to the zoo or Disney or something. I have looked at a lot and see pros and cons to all (and they're so expensive!).

I bought the city select lux when my second arrived. My first is 2.75. It is really awesome because of the bench seat. When I drop my older one off at school I just move the toddler seat that the baby is in (or the bassinet) and pop it on top of the bench seat and it goes back to being an awesome single stroller. The bench is perfect for an older kid; it has a three point harnesss to contain them and it gives them a place to sit. When she’s finished with strollers I’ll be left with a great full featured single for my younger kiddo.

We've been using the same Britax stroller since birth with DS, but with another on the way (knock on wood,) we are looking for a double stroller. DS will have just turned 3 when this one arrives. I know a lot of people can get away without one but we like to walk a lot, have dogs and all that. I figure I can get a couple years use out of it, hopefully sell, and then go back to our regular stroller. I am looking for one that can accomodte an infant carseat. So far, it looks like the city mini double is the best fit but I know very nothing about double strollers. Anyway, any recommendations?
