My 3 year old loves it. I think it's pretty gender neutral - one of our little guy friends loves playing with it when he visits. I did a ton of research before we got it. If you get the house that comes with furniture, it's a great price for the quality. I've been looking at some online - Hape, Kidkraft (they have a pretty cool firehouse!), Calico Critters, and Plan Toys. I don't know how into it he will be, but I suspect very into it given how much he likes to play with them elsewhere.</p> <p>Any recommendations? </p>
