@littlejoy: I actually haven't used my electric yet since having lo2 since I haven't gone back to work yet so I can't compare, and with lo1 I rarely used the manual since I had issues with low supply and used a hospital grade pump for awhile. I've been shocked though with how much I can get with it-- def more than I could last time around! By that's just having more milk for this kiddo

Lansinoh. It was a little more effective than my Medela, but much easier to use and clean. It was as effective as my Spectra electric.

I had both the Medela and the Lansinoh and vastly preferred the Lansinoh. I struggled to get a letdown with the Medela (it was so frustrating!) but quickly got lots of milk with the Lansinoh. It also hurt my hand to use the Medela and the Lansinoh handle was much more comfortable.

I like my medela. I haven't used any other to compare. It Bonus that it uses the same parts for the most part as my electric and I use the medela bottles to feed.

I loved my medela hand pump for both kids. I would just pump in bed postpartum to relieve engorgement and then sit it on my nightstand. I actually just bought another on amazon since I'm expecting my 3rd baby soon and my old one was falling apart--but it was 5 years old too.

I had the Medela manual pump and really liked it. I used it once or twice a day for just shy of two years.

I'd like a manual pump for a bit more convenience while out of the house (or middle of the night). I have a relatively low supply, so the pump would need to be pretty efficient. Any recommendations? I assume the Medela is a good option, but thought I'd see if anyone had a better experience with another.
