Hijacking for a bit.. I had always been on the pill, how does it feel to have Mirena put in? Better/worse than a papsmear? I haven't given birth yet, so maybe I would not even care about this tiny thing going in after I've given birth!

I had Mirena pre-pregnancy #1 and I'm going back to it post-pregnancy #2. I was getting migraines from the pill but not while on Mirena.

I got the Mirena like 8 weeks after having L. It didn't affect my supply. I have it just over a year. Got it removed like July 8, got my real period around July 27, pregnant the next cycle with no problems. (I gave all the details because I know I was very curious at how quickly fertility returned after having Mirena removed)

I will get another Mirena after this baby is born, no question.

I   the Mirena. Had it pre-baby and just got mine post-baby. Getting it in postpartum was less uncomfortable than my flu shot it was kind of amazing. Hard to argue with not having to remember it daily, less periods, and more reliable than getting your tubes tied (well, by a tiny fraction of a % but still!).

I was on the Mirena for about 5 years until we started TTC. I loved it! It was so much easier than having to remember to take a pill everyday.

I got a Mirena put in at 3 months pp. I used one pre-baby for three years with no trouble. My body doesn't handle the pill well.

I know this has been asked a number of times, but never as a poll! I'm almost 6 months postpartum (still breastfeeding) and decided maybe it is time to think about birth control - especially since I have met my insurance deductible for this year
