I usually recommend the mother to be maternity belt for the pain you're describing. (I'm a women's health PT) https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00063IQ48/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1469148258&sr=8-1&keywords=mother+to+be+maternity+support+belt&pi=SY200_QL40

@catlady: also I saw a chiropractor about once a month for the last half of my pregnancy and it was really helpful. Not perfect but I always felt better. Mine is probably too far from you but I would recommend her if you were interested.

I had a Gabrialla brand one- it was recommended by a friend, didn't do much research. I had a much harder time with lower back pain with my second, and that was without a long walking commute. I think for me it was partly because my core muscles were weaker anyway, and even though I started out weighing less, I gained more weight faster, so my core didn't have a shot at keeping up. The good news is literally the minute I gave birth my back felt so much better!

I used this https://belevation.com/store/clothing/mid-thigh-pettipant-boyshort/ even though its probably less supportive than other options. I liked that it kept my thighs from chaffing with skirts and it kept my bump all together and nice. It did offer at least some support though cause I noticed how much worse I felt whenever I didn't wear it. Super comfy for all day wear.

I used one to exercise during my first pregnancy but admittedly haven't used it much with this pregnancy (less time to work out!). I was pretty happy with it though. It felt like a sport bra for my belly... http://www.mombodfitness.com/store/p3/Maternity_FITsplint%E2%84%A2.html

I'm not sure if it is the way I am carrying, or due to the fact that I started this pregnancy heavier than my last one, but I'm only 20 weeks and already having some trouble with my walking commute (1.5 miles each way). I didn't use a support belt for LO, but I'm thinking I need to invest in one for this pregnancy.

Anyone have a recommendation? I'm a bit confused by the different types (and price points).
