It's a linen and cotton blend, which is strong (perfect for a new baby all the way to toddler) and breathable, but took a while to break in. So it was hard to adjust and get a good seat for a while, but I love it now. You want to make sure that whoever you get it from follows the appropriate guidelines from BCIA and ASTM. I read a lot of info on sleeping baby productions about which length and fabric would work best for me. You'll also want to decide which shoulder you like- there's gathered, pleated, eesti, etc. I got a pleated bc it's easiest for beginners.. She also sells them as well. I would like to be able to breastfeed while wearing it, ideally, and want something I can quickly and easily put a little infant in (like 1 month old) but that I can continue to use for quick trips as she gets older. I'd rather just buy (well, ask for) a new one vs buying it used since I'm hoping for it as a gift and that would be easier. I already have (borrowed) Solly and Moby wraps and a beco Gemini. </p> <p>Suggestions? I know this has been asked before... </p>
