The black cats in MMs also go well with a lot, even though they're a bit cutest. My DD started wearing MMs at that age and loooves them. If I were to pick one more that goes with almost anything would be Saltwater Sandals. Livie and Luca too. They will be more expensive but there a ton of resale sites on fb, so you can probably at least get half your money back (often more). They are pretty neutral. I share your sentiments about a lot of the children's designs.
