My LO likes the Kashi heart to heart cinnamon cereal, peanut butter puffins or raisin bran (we get Cascadian Farms).

My daughter and I both eat Kashi Cinnamon Harvest. It's so delicious and sweet enough while still being healthy, tons of fiber.

My son is obsessed with raisin bran (we get the Cascadian Farm brand so the raisins aren't coated in sugar).

He also likes freeze dried fruit in plain cheerios.

Life cereal is only mildly sweet. I also like Quaker Oatmeal Squares as a healthy cereal option, but they are quite dense cereal pieces.

When cereal is on the breakfast menu DS gets off brand plain cornflakes and puffs at school.

My 3.5 year old likes the original Kashi Go Lean and sometimes he requests Aldi's bran flakes with raisins added to it. Also a fan of all cheerios - honey nut, regular, fruity, etc.

I would try a flavored cheerio first. Don't be like me, we let DD have fruit loops, and then I decided to try the fruit flavored cheerios and she won't eat them because they're not as sweet. So, I'd try those first, or honey nut cheerios, or there were banana nut cheerios at my store for a while.

Special K red berries is a hit in our house.

Or I like the mixing ideas above. What if you mixed regular cheerios with something colorful like fruit loops adding juuuust enough fruit loops to make her feel like it's cool?

My kids love cereal. As in they will help themselves to the cereal cabinet and snack right out of the box. I love Frosted-Mini-Wheats, Multi-grain cheerios, the new Shreds and Frosted Flakes. Honey Bunches of Oats in any variety are hit-and-miss.

I've seen a lots of dietitians recommending All-Bran Multi-grain Crunch cereal. It's sweetened (8g sugar per cup), but has 6g of fiber and 3g of protein. It has a light maple syrup flavour. I usually mix that with regular cheerios.

ETA: looks like it might only be available in Canada!

I think I remember reading someplace that Kix were a relatively healthy cereal, or at least equivalent to cheerios nutrition-wise.
I can't remember where I read it, maybe I'm making it up. But I think Kix are sweeter than cheerios, so maybe that will help her?

Depending on your budget you can also try the expensive healthy brands... I don't know the actual brand but Puffins come to mind.

DD’s preschool serves cereal to hungry students around 9am. I’ve been sending regular Cheerios but she is putting up a stink about wanting sugary cereal. My initial reaction is that if she’s not hungry enough for Cheerios then she’s not hungry but I know seeing other kids eat sugary cereals is hard. In the spirit of having an open mind, what cereals do you like that aren’t total junk?
