I keep the umbrella stroller in the car for the just in case. Which I think is nice because it doesn't take up too much room in my car. Plus it's one less thing in the garage or house. We have a jogging stroller that we like because it is light weight and moves easy. We use it for walks to the park, zoo trips and traveling at the airport.

city mini used, or one of the uppababy umbrella strollers used looks great too! or the good old maclaren ones? :)

I think if you are willing to go used you can get something great for under 150!

@Mae: I have a City mini and you will deffo be able to get it in and out of a car boot, no sweat -and folding is the easiest thing ever. I carry it up and down 4 flights of stairs daily (sweat IS involved here though  )

@Mae: I probably wouldn't say that the city mini was light if I had to carry it up stairs or something with LO and all his stuff but we live in the suburbs so I'm usually only lifting it in & out of the car. We have had that stroller from the beginning and it's one thing I have never regretted one bit. My sis got a graco stroller as part of a travel system and it is so heavy and harder to maneuver.

@hotchildinthecity: I shouldn't need to do any crazy maneuvers with it... I just mean light enough that I won't be sweating and swearing trying to fold it and lift it into the back of my car. Thoughts?

@Foodnerd81: we have a gluxe and it doesnt really handle as well on grass. Its a little harder to push not a smooth push. But a good overall workout

handles terrible in snow and sand.

I feel like a sturdy umbrella stroller would work for you- like the uppababy glite, which should be right around that price point ($160 I think). I would think a cheapo $10 umbrella stroller couldn't handle the grass and curbs. The glite also has a great sunshade.

We have a mountain buggy nano that I really love and it would work for you, but it's $200 unless you get really lucky and get the floor model from BBB like we did.

I was going to say city mini, but I would not say it is light! I had to get a cheapo umbrella stroller because I can't get it and LO up the subway stairs. But it rolls over any terrain. We've had some bad snow and the city mini does a great job!

I was going to say City Mini or a phil and ted. You need something with big wheels and I dont think an umbrella stroller will be able to go over rough terrain

I love our City Mini. Not sure if you can find a new one for under $150, but I think we got ours for around $170 from Amazon on sale. I can fold it one-handed and it's very light. I love the huge canopy to keep sun off LO too.

for my 10 month old for the summer. We probably won't use it a lot (walks when it is too hot to wear, trips to the zoo when she will want to be in/out a lot.... but definitely not daily use).

Wants:
- Less than $150
- Light and folds easily (although it doesn't have to be terribly small because I have an suv, not car with trunk)
- Somewhat rugged because our neighborhood is stupid and the sidewalks don't cross streets (so at every cross street we have to go over grass and curb). I feel like a stroller with 4 tiny wheels won't be able to handle that.

Does what I want exist?
