We just bought a used City Select, but I haven't tried it yet since LO2 won't be here until the beginning of August. For my single I have the City Mini GT and love it. My two will be 2.5 years apart. My sis in law really likes her select with her two dd who are three years apart. I like never having to worry about flat tires and that one of the kids isn't really down low.

I have the Baby Jogger City Select and am trying to talk my husband into the Baby Jogger Summit X3 as well for long walk/jogs/playground trips. I like all the seat configurations you can use with the Select, and the fact that it easily fits through doorways etc. But it's super long and heavy (prob to be expected with an inline double stroller) and my toddler broke one of the buttons holding his seat's footrest in place by pushing against it with his feet, so that's frustrating. Haven't tried to call customer service yet to get that resolved. I want the Summit because I would like a jogging stroller that has separate reclining seats that go back all the way and a large storage basket.

@sorrycharlie: oh I don't have the elite! I just googled it and it looks nice :) I wonder how much nicer it handles?! Also, mine doesn't roll when folded, since the back break needs to be on - so I have to fold then carry it in the house - and it's heavy!

@Mrs. Sunshine: we got the graco ready2grow which has 12 different possible combinations between car seats, sit and stand, and seats. We just used it for the first time at dl. Bay wasn't in it really but it was so convenient for my son. He could just pop on and off and he stood for the fireworks.

I have a City Select for my two girls (6 and 30 months) and love it. It's easy to drive, has a good amount of storage space, and it's so convertible to our different needs! We use it on long walks on neighborhood trails as well as in stores/malls/etc.

We have two. We have the Joovy Caboose Too Ultralight. It is a sit and stand or you can put in a seat instead of standing. I liked it when we had a newborn in the carseat and used the seat in the back when older DS was 21 months and too little to stand. It was great for indoor stuff like the library and inside stuff, but it is not easy to maneuver and my older DS did not like sitting in the back because he couldn't see as well. Now that he's older (32 months) and can do the standing he likes it better but we still only use it for indoor things like museums. I recently bought a used Double Bob and love it. We had the single Bob that we loved so I'm not surprised. It is much easier to maneuver I like it for walks in our neighborhood (paved road no sidewalks) and for trails and the park. They really seem to like sit side by side at this age (almost 3 and almost 1). I have still kept the Joovy because I still like that option for indoors when the width of the Bob may be too much.

We have a City Mini Double GT and I love it. The storage basket under the seats isn't ideal, but it wasn't a deal breaker for us. I love how well it "drives" and how easy it is to collapse and load in the car.

We've used in on gravel trails, grass, sidewalk, indoors, and haven't had a problem at all.

Our LOs are 22 months apart. I also looked at the City Select and other front to back strollers, but I didn't think the seats would work for us long term (the looked small for a toddler) and I really didn't like how I couldn't see the LO in the front of the stroller.

We have the Britax B ready. I don't think it's the BEST option out there but definitely a good one and I think way more affordable than the Uppababy vista (we bought stroller used and attachments to convert to double new). I love how you can do so many different configurations but I like how the Uppababy has the lower seat in front so the kid can see better and you have more storage. Those are the two things I am not crazy about with the B-ready. We use ours all the time, like at least once a day and my kids are 1 and 2.5 (20 months apart). It is pretty good on sidewalks and grass. The wheels are wide so I run into things sometimes because I forget to account for them and I don't know if it's because we bought ours used or if it's normal even with new ones but we get stones stuck in the wheels a lot and I have to kick them out. Overall we are very happy with the stroller!

@sorrycharlie: my oldest is only 20 months so that's another strike against a sit n stand...I value my mom's opinion and since she's paying, I plan on showing her all the ones suggested (plus a few I've found myself) and seeing what we think is best. I've bookmarked the stroller you mentioned already. ..maybe I can find somewhere to test it out!

My phone is spazzing out. Ugh. I meant to also add that the contours elite was changed and the seats are taller and the footrest is bigger to accommodate toddlers - my friend has the options lt I think and my toddler barely fits in that seat.

@Mrsjets: @Mrs. Sunshine: I actually think it's pretty easy to handle but I have the newest version. My toddler (27 lbs) sits in front too. I had to get used to the longer front to back than the side to side city mini double I had before but I actually prefer it now! The basket has zip open sides, too, for easy access.

Edit: I actually prefer it to a sit and stand that I tried because my toddler can easily climb in and out but has a full seat instead of a bench (like a sit and stand).

I have the contours options and it's really big. It has great storage and I like that the kids can face each other sometimes but it's huge and really hard to handle. I wouldn't buy it again - I think I'd buy the double b-agile.

@PinkElephant: It's still totally a beast when folded! However, I don't think it's considerably larger than other doubles when folded. That was my DH's big concern since we drive everywhere so it had to fit in our trunk, but other than double umbrellas, doubles just seem to be bulky. It fits fine in our trunk though! And you just get used to it, I guess. It does fold and unfold really easily!

I'm on the Duet bandwagon! It held my infant seats well, even though it looked funny, and it's very easy to maneuver. I've had a hard time with the tires on it- two ripped ones and one that kept deflating- but I don't think that's the norm. It's also so narrow it's fantastic! I feel that other double strollers are friggin' tanks or trains- way too wide or long for me.

@foodnerd81 - I have an older model that I got used. I think it is a 2010 or 2011. When I called Uppababy, they said that with the exception of the brand new version that just came out this year, all the parts like the boogie board and the rumble seat fit on any of the prior models.

@mrssunshine - get a used one! they are great, you can even get a new seat or a seat cover since that is the only part you will really see. The rest is just the frame. I bought the accessories on my parenting listerve separately for super cheap and they are great. People in my neighborhood have their kids 2 years apart and then use the accessories for about 2 years (generalizing here) so you can always find some nice used ones here.

@Foodnerd81: yup. If I could have had the baby in the bottom it would have been easier, but maneuvering with a 30 pounder hanging off the front was tough. I found curb popping to be the worst. I LOVED my UBV and honestly cried when I sold it, it just didn't work for us anymore.

@twodoghouse: That is my dream stroller! I originally wanted it in a single, but couldn't get it in Asia when I was pregnant with my first, and now I'm coveting a double. They don't seem popular in my area (New York/Brooklyn) though - I'm guessing due to size/folding issues. Is it still a beast when folded?

I'm considering a late-in-the-game double stroller purchase (my girls are 1 and almost 3) since my very strong 1 year old isn't into the Ergo anymore, and my almost 3 year old is still not great at walking or riding the buggy board for long distances...but I think I'll end up buying used, so the Indie may not be a choice for me. :(

I have the Bumbleride Indie Twin and love it. It's a beast (most side by side doubles are!), but is such a smooth ride and maneuvers easily. have jogged with it at a stroller workout and class and it's fine, although that's not its express purpose. We mostly stick to paved sidewalks, but we've "off-roared" just fine into grass and on mulched trails. Compared to some of the other doubles, I thought the shape and color was cute!
