@jessibear: A couple of my work friends wear slimming tanks -- I'm going to have to get one to try, as it might be more comfortable and I already wear a tank top most days

@MaryM: I ended up buying a pair of flexees, and I think going up a size was the key -- so far they're tolerable!! :)

This may not be what you're looking for, but I love Soma's slimming tanks (and leggings). I wear one basically every day and it does a nice job smoothin out my tummy and holding things in without bein uncomfortable. I'll try to link later, I'm on my phone right now.

I believe in paying the money for Spanx to make things smooth and help hide the bulges!

@Mrs. Tricycle: For me, I have a longer torso (I think), so it actually ends right at the top of my underwear (and goes up to right below my bra). So it probably depends on how long your torso is. But if I had a shorter torso, I'd wear it like the girl does in the picture - having it go over the top of my underwear. Hope that makes sense.

@Adira: so does it go under the waistband of your pants or over the waistband?

I just bought this and I LOVE it:

http://www.jcpenney.com/women/bras-panties-lingerie/bridal-lingerie/maidenform-shape-ultimate-slimmer-waistnipper-6868/prod.jump?ppId=13e2152&catId=cat100240043&subcatId=cat100240035&deptId=dept20000013

It's got that boning so it doesn't roll up or down, but it's still fairly subtle under clothes. I have stomach and serious muffin top and this works wonders for me! I got it one size larger than my normal shirt size and it felt comfortable and still was slimming.

I had issues with them rolling down and finally broke down and went up a size. Makes a world of difference.

I have a pair of flexees that are like bike shorts (no seams) that are my favorite, but I've had a hard time finding another pair. So I usually just get whatever looks the most comfortable.

I'm headed back to work in a month, and I need to invest in some shapeware. I have been working out and dieting, and I'm losing weight, but I still have a belly that makes the majority of my work wardrobe look pretty awful.

I bought a shaper today at target, but the first time I tried it on the thigh seam ripped, and every time I sat down, the top band rolled down.

I'm looking for something that holds my stomach in, and doesn't create weird lines across my butt or thighs. Anyone have a recommendation that they love? My muffin top would be forever thankful!!
