@MerryC: I just pulled the trigger on the Combi Twin as well!!!

@NYCaliMama: in searching old threads I was reading about your MB Duet and I covet. ahhhh!!! But we already have a really nice fancy double stroller (Uppa Baby Vista with both rumble seat AND riding board for WJ to choose whether he wants to sit or stand) so what we need is something cheaper, lighter, etc. and is side by side for our nanny share.

@NYCaliMama: I'm glad to see that you like the Duet! We're discussing #2, which means that I need to start researching double strollers, of course :)

We have a BOB Revolution Duallie, which I love for walks and runs, but is not a lightweight, all-purpose stroller. And because we have the BOB too, I preferred not to spend big dollars on a compact stroller if I could help it.

I JUST ordered the Combi Twin for shopping kinds of outings, since our twins are getting too long for the double snap-n-go. Got it for under $200 new with a coupon. It was a recommended double by Mrs. Bee and number of twin mamas. I don't have it in hand yet, but I've seen it in person and watched youtube videos. It seems easy to maneuver, folds up easily and very compact, fits through standard doors, kid and adult cupholders included now, and the seats are supposedly very comfy and sized well for bigger kids than some other compact doubles. The basket isn't great, but I wear a backpack diaper bag, so I just use the basket for mail or a jacket mostly anyway. I'm hoping I love it!

I looked at those and they were big contenders... But when I checked out the double Maclaren in person I was surprised at how heavy it felt (for a Maclaren) and I preferred something with more storage (I take the girls on walks to the grocery and out shopping). I almost got the City Mini double too... It's a solid choice I think.

But for us, the Mountain Buggy Duet was IT. I love that it's side-by-side, but narrow like a single! It's less than 25" wide if I recall correctly (most double side-by-sides are around 29" wide). So the Duet goes through doorways and aisles very easily. I can also turn it with one hand if I really have to. It's not lightweight, but I don't have too much trouble carrying it (I'm used to it probably).

With our nanny share we'll be needing a lightweight easy to use side by side stroller. We have an UBV with a rumble seat for our kids, but both babies are too small to go into the rumble seat, so we need something that will be good for our 5 month old and her 4 month old. I'm looking at the City Mini and different Maclarens (looking at used ones on Craigslist) and I'm wondering what the differences would be. Anyone love their lightweight double stroller?
