Zojirushi fan over here too. It keeps things SO hot that I actually have to let it cool down first, otherwise I can't even drink it!

We love Yeti cups for both hot and cold drinks at our house. So much so that my DH bought one to put his coffee in and one to put ice water in.

I have this from REI and I really like it: https://www.rei.com/product/109956/gsi-outdoors-microlite-500-flip-vacuum-bottle-17-fl-oz. It’s really slim and lightweight, and it keeps my coffee HOT for hours (as in, its almost too hot to drink for at least 4-5 hours and still pleasantly warm after 9-10 hours). The flip lid might bother some people but I like that it has a latch to avoid accidentally popping open, and I can operate it with one hand. It has never leaked (touch wood...). The only downside is that the silicone seal inside the cap is hard to take off and it holds a coffee smell so I don’t use the mug for anything else, but that doesn’t bother me personally. I have a couple travel mugs and this one is by far my favorite.

I know you asked about travel mugs for hot beverages but I want to give yeti a shout out for keeping my smoothies cold. I usually make a smoothie in the morning but don't drink it until 10:30 at the earliest when doing intermittent fasting. That thing has kept my smoothie cold until 4 pm on the day that I completely forgot about it. Rough day at work. I'm guessing it will do the same for hot drinks too. The one thing I really like about the Yeti and got me to spend the extra $$$ is the fact that it's dishwasher safe. I know myself and I wasn't going to hand wash that thing every time. :)

Depending how you use it, I like the S'well 12oz version for this. For me, I just needed to get my coffee hot & unspilled from home to work, then I sit at my desk and open it up. It would probably be annoying if you were trying to sip it on the go because you have to screw it open and then it's a wide open top, but I think for avoiding leaks it is second to none. I can literally toss it in my bag, take my son to school, take the subway to work, and get to work and it is piping hot and no spills at all from the jostling.

Yet another vote for the Zojirushi (per my husband since I don't drink coffee). Keeps drinks hot for a long time.

I have a Zojirushi and a Yeti rambler tumbler - I like both, but prefer the Zojirushi for hot coffee and the Yeti for cold drinks. I like the way the top works on the Zojirushi. You can lock it closed and it doesn't leak at all when it's open (unlike my klean kanteen). The top is really clever, as @PurplePumps said. But you can't throw in your bag (at least the one I have).

I love Walmart brand (Ozark Trail). Very durable, very easy to clean. They are like Yeti knockoffs and I have a Yeti but I much prefer the Ozark Trail because it keeps stuff warm but not too warm like the Yeti. Like I don't have to wait an hour to not burn my tongue.

I feel like it's so cliche, but we love our 20oz yetis. I wouldn't have ever bought one cause I don't follow hype usually, but I got a free one and love it. Especially love the magnetic top closure that is so easy to take off and get all the coffee gunk out. Keeps coffee so hot my husband puts ice cubes in it so that he can drink it on the way to work.

The Timolino vacuum mug keeps things almost TOO hot - I like my drinks scalding hot and it keeps them that way for hours. Literally I make my tea and 5:30am and at 9 it’s still boiling.

It's finally getting cooler out and I want to start drinking my coffee hot again. I had one a couple years ago from Starbucks that I loved (kept my coffee hot for hours!) but I broke the lid and haven't been able to find one like it since then.

I've tried the popular Contigo one but I just don't like the button! I also felt like my coffee tasted weird whenever I used it.
