@snarkybiochemist: Yeah, I know its just part of the process of (trying to) have babies, but it's kind of annoying that my clothes don't fit great at the moment. I really don't want to buy new pants because I think things will go back to normal now that the pregnancy is over (I lost weight due to MS so wouldn't mind if things stayed like this, but I doubt it will happen!). Buying a bra that makes me feel good seems like a reasonable compromise.

@Coral: Sorry, I should have specified. My bras now are all underwire, but I'm thinking I may want to try something without, as I'm tired of uncomfortable bras! The bravado looks awesome.

@periwinklebee: it might be a good idea to find at least one reasonably priced bra that makes you feel good in addition to the extenders

@snarkybiochemist: yeah, I probably need new bras and may kick myself if we have another long stint of TTC for not investing more, but they can be so expensive, so extenders and something reasonably priced without an underwire seems like the way to go...

@newlypregnantlady: Thank you for the link - that's awesome! I also hate to spend a lot of money, as we will TTC again soon.

@peaches1038: @PawPrints: @youboots: Thank you for the recommendations!

@snarkybiochemist: I completely forgot about extenders, that's a great idea! I'm pretty sure my band size went up and I'm not even sure how that happened as I thought that was a later pregnancy thing, but unlike my cup size it doesn't seem to be going back to normal very quickly...

I am a big fan of maidenform demi tee shirt bra. If your issue is band size rather then cup size I recommend bra extenders, you can often find them near the bras in a dept store or you can go to a fabric/sewing store and get them for less. They can add 2ish inches I think.

@periwinklebee: I think it helps that Nordstroms can order sizes for you too. So they don't always feel like they have to sell you from their in-store stock. I've had terrible fittings at Victoria's Secret and at a Dillard's where they try to sell me a 36DD because it's supposed to be a "sister size" but that's the worst thing you can do. It's guaranteed not to fit because the band has to fit for a good bra.

If you are willing to do a ton of research I'd definitely suggest https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits

I've been nursing or pregnant for the last two years and just can't handle dropping $80 on a bra that might fit for three or four months.

Definitely try a Nordstrom's. Pre pregnancy I was a 34F and I'd try to get away with a 34DD because I was too cheap and it made my life hell!

If you don't mind wireless this is my favorite bra: it's worked for me through two pregnancies and 18 months of nursing: http://www.target.com/p/playtex-women-s-simply-sized-wireless-bra-p844/-/A-14085603

It's soft enough that I just pull it down to nurse. It's not really pretty enough for tank tops but it's a great bra. I haven't been able to wear underwire since my first pregnancy because it's just too uncomfortable (first my belly was too big and would dig in, and then my nursing boobs would change sizes too much in one day). I've gained 30lbs in this pregnancy and I'm still in the same bra.

Do you have a Nordstrom's near you? It is SO worth the time/money/effort to go there and get fitted properly. I've also had great experience at Bloomingdales. Probably any good department store will help you out.

Anybody have any suggestions on a comfortable bra? I'm not even half way through the day, and mine is killing me. I think it's a combination of it being really old (didn't want to buy a new one while TTC) and the fact that my chest probably hasn't returned completely to normal after a recent pregnancy loss. I'm normally a 34C and care more about comfort than support. Ideally I'd like something that can accommodate some fluctuations in chest size, but I don't know if that's too tall of an order. None of my clothes fit properly at present but the bra is really driving me crazy...

Thank you!
